In her early career, Payal was a design director who developed product lines for one of the country’s top fine stationery and luxury goods businesses, while growing strategic partnerships with leading retail and fashion brands across the country. After over a decade of design and marketing success in the luxury paper industry, she co-founded a boutique creative agency with her partner Michelle May. Since then, Atelier ID Global has grown a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from tech and science to creative and lifestyle sectors.
Their commitment to artists and professional skills in marketing with a design legacy in luxury paper, led them to found Juniper Rag in 2020. Juniper Rag a visual art and lifestyle magazine, that promotes artists through features, print and digital marketing campaigns, curated exhibitions, juried shows and collaborative projects. Since its origin, Juniper Rag has built a strong reputation in presenting high-caliber art in all media by some of the region’s best emerging and mid-career artists. They have hosted several live and virtual shows, fundraisers for several prominent galleries and organizations. In 2023, they co-curated the New Art Center gala and The Fay Chandler Emerging Art Exhibition at the Mayor’s Gallery in Boston City Hall.
As a visual artist, Payal’s work celebrates nature, personal growth and emotions. She finds endless inspiration in the beauty that surrounds us and the strength within. Drawing upon life experiences, her work often serves as a visual narrative of her personal journey. Working predominantly in watercolor, she builds intricate layers and texture with acrylics and gold leaf.
She is passionate about supporting social causes and organizations through her work and has shown at galleries in Boston, Newton and Worcester. Payal was awarded First Prize at Newton Art Association’s New Member Exhibition in 2022 and received a creative sector grant by Mass Cultural Council in 2023.
